Bridge Building
Students are introduced to the physics involved in constructing a bridge. This lesson covers the ideas of tension, compression, weight efficiency, and cost efficiency. After the lesson, the students are tasked to build a bridge with these main ideas in mind. To test the lesson's main concepts, a weight is attached to the structure to determine the quality of the student's construction.
